The fifth edition of INFRATRANS 2007, took place between 21’st-22’nd
of June 2007 at Bucuresti Nord railway station.
On this occasion, Romkatel provided technical solutions for the
improvement of the communication system on a first class train
carriage, brought-up-to-date by Remar SA Pascani.
The train carriage was dequipped with wireless internet system,
consisting of a 450 MHz train antenna used for Zapp signal and a 2,4
GHz indoor omnidirectional antenna.
In addition, a Kathrein GPS/GSM dual antenna was installed for GPS
and data transfer for supervising the train’s system. Romkatel
provided also the cables and connectors for the antenna systems
mentioned above.
Kathrein train antennas comply with the EN 50155 standard and are
equipped with a protection system against an accidental contact with
the high voltage lines/network. Kathrein antennas are tested by an
independent institute and approved by “Deutsche Bahn AG” (German
Railway).
