During November and
December 2008, Romkatel supplied antenna systems in two locations in
Serbia. Ovcar station
is situated near Carak city and Crveni Cot station near Novi Sad
city. Both stations will benefit from new antenna systems for the
UHF, VHF and FM frequencies.
At first, these antenna systems will be used in the analogue
environment, but they are also 100% digital (DVB-T) ready.
One of the systems presented an interesting challenge: the
horizontal radiation diagram had to have different restrictions for
both analogue and digital operation.
Although Ovcar station is located at approx. 1.000 m altitude and
the weather conditions were not too favorable in December last year,
Romkatel managed to install and commission the UHF radiant system,
immediately after delivery.
Romkatel’s future projects in Serbia include installing UHF, VHF and
FM systems for the Avala TV tower near Belgrad.
