Romkatel was present at the "Broadcast Convention 2009", event which was organized by the Romanian Cable Communication Association, at Marriott Hotel, in Bucharest, between 10-11 November 2009. At Romkatel’s exhibition stand, the visitors had the opportunity to test IPTV, CATv and SMATv equipment and software.

Along with test and measurement instruments, UFO compact system, DVB-S, DVB-T and DVB-C receivers, the Kathrein IPTV Compact system presented a great interest. It was exposed in a fully functional manner, having as a signal source, DVB-S, CATV and DVB-T. Most of the advantages of this system were tested, such as:

• Pause and replay live TV
• Time-shifted TV
• Video-on-demand
• Network-based PVR (Personal Video Recorder)
• Local TV video content
• Teletext instant access
• Full HDTV support.

According to Constantin Harasim, ACC's operation manager, about 300 persons attended to this event.
